This gentle man started life as a timid, quiet
younger brother to a very outgoing, noisy
sister. He has grown in stature (6'4")
and presence, but is still that quiet, sweet
person. He has a great sense of humor and
is well-loved by all who know him. He has
a gift for writing -much to the delight of
his readers. The source of most of his writing
was handwritten letters to family members.
Too bad that came to an end. He has other
interests now.
Rock
music was becoming popular as he entered his
teens. He was deeply enthralled with it for
a period of time. It was a fun era to experience.
As he matured, he attended college, served
a mission for his church, then joined the
military.
He
had an amazing career working with
Blackhawk helicopters. It has taken
him to countries that most of us have
only heard of -and on adventures that
we're sure he never dreamed he'd have.
True to his nature, he loved the peoples
of the lands he served in -especially
the children. He was involved in Desert
Storm, Somalia, and other areas of
conflict. Every chance he would get,
he would venture to other parts of
the world. He was not married and
didn't care to participate in the
kind of life most of the military
fellows enjoyed, so he did his traveling
solo.
One
of his 'loves' was motorcycles. His
natural father had the same love.
For a while he was able to indulge
himself in those 'toys.' However,
the inevitable finally happened and
he met his sweetheart, Rachel. His
focus changed. They are now the parents
of three beautiful children: Josh,
Maddie, and Robbie. He has retired
from the military and is now fighting
the rigors of civilian life. Occasionally
they pass through our lives. We know
you would enjoy getting to know him
if ever he were here!!
